Who we are

I started Sage•Co in November 2025 during a time when I was seriously questioning my corporate job and what I actually wanted to be doing with my life. Making fragrance wasn’t a plan it was something I did late at night for myself, mixing oils out of curiosity, trying to create something that felt right.

Friends would smell what I was working on and genuinely like it, but I didn’t think much of it. It felt like a hobby, something creative to unwind. That changed when someone asked me to make a scent for them and paid me for it. It was a small moment, but it made me realize this could be more than just experimenting.

My house slowly turned into a testing space. I had friends stay over just to help me smell, wear, and compare blends. There were bottles everywhere, notebooks full of crossed-out ideas, and a lot of sleepless nights spent adjusting formulas and starting over. Some nights nothing worked. Other nights something clicked.

I’d take what I was working on and walk around the NoDa area in Charlotte, going bar to bar, talking to people, seeing how the scents wore in real life. Sometimes it was just conversations and feedback. Sometimes I sold a few bottles. What mattered most was learning how people reacted, how a scent changed over time, how it felt to wear outside of my own space.

Sage•Co came out of that period naturally. No big launch, no master plan just trial, error, late nights, and a growing feeling that this was something worth committing to.
